One spring night, my parents took me to a recital held by Kim Robertson. That was the first time I attented a concert, and it was also the first time I heard the harp. I enjoyed the music,- it was warm, festive, and jolly. During the intermission, I took a good long look at the harp. It was very delicate, pretty and vintage, like an antique. In May last year I started my first harp lesson on the harp. I like my lessons very much and I know my harp will be my friend forever.
We asked Arthur a few questions:
1. What is the best part of playing the harp?
The best part of playing the harp is when there are sharps.
Do you think practicing is a hard thing to do?
I don't think that practicing is a hard thing to do.
What piece do you enjoy playing the most, if you have one?
The songs I like are Study in G, Melody, Marching by Dmitri Kabalevsky, and
The First Noel. But the one I really like the best is Marching because when
I play, it gives me a vivid picture of soldiers marching.
Do you play any other instruments? If so, for how long?
I don't play any other instrument.
Is there anything else you'd like to tell us, like any favorite hobbies, books, sports, shows or pets, etc? My favorite book is 1000 Facts About the Earth.
Last May, I started my first harp lesson with Verlene [Schermer]. I found that it is truly the instrument for me. I like the look and the sound of the harp, and I'm proud of myself because I play the harp, and I am a member of the Harper Hall and Culinary Society.
2. Do you think practicing is a hard thing to do?
No, I don't think it's hard. I think it's simple!
3. What piece do you enjoy playing the most, if you have one?
My favorite harp piece is "Little Prelude"
4. Do you play any other instruments? If so, for how long?

5. Is there anything else you'd like to tell us, like any favorite
hobbies, books, sports, shows or pets, etc?
