- The Shrine to Music Museum
- The Shrine to Music Museum, in South Dakota, "has a collection of more
than 6000 American, European, and ethnographic instrument from virtually
all cultures and historic periods". The Web site has a Virtual Gallery
tour, and different collections of instruments. They have begun work
on their on-line harp collection. Check out the Burmese Arched

-
New Moon
- This site is for
New Moon, The Magazine for Girls and Their
Dreams, ages 8-15 or so. Flippy and Jane both subscribe to it. New
Moon, which is edited by a team of girls, and which includes a number
of articles and other submissions by girls, was and is the model and
inspiration for Young Harpers Almanac!
-
Rainforest
Action Network - Kids' Action
- This is a page
for environmentalists. It features a REALLY neat kid's page that
includes an art gallery and more!
-
The Young
Writer's Club
-
This is for The Young Writer's Club, (TYWC) that was
started by a girl and her dad. It is a wonderful site, and safe for
young kids, though it is mostly geared to ages 8 and up.
You can get
penpals, finish stories, contests, read a magazine,
write! I (Flippy) really love this place! There are also young people's
homepages, and stuff like that. Note: The site seems to be unavailable
right now. Hopefully this situation is temporary!
